Tavolara Boat Tour
Situated in the Gulf of Olbia, in the north-eastern part of Sardinia, Tavolara Island is a 560-metre-high mountain of limestone and granite, about 5 km long and 1 km wide with a wild and unspoilt nature. The island of Tavolara was formerly known by the name Hermaea, in honour of the god Hermes, protector of merchants and travellers.
This island is included in the Protected Marine Area of Tavolara and Capo Cavallo, which stretches 76 kilometres along the coasts of Loiri Porto San Paolo, Olbia and San Teodoro and 15 thousand hectares over crystal-clear waters, inlets and coves, from Capo Ceraso to Punta s'Isuledda.
Characterised by unspoilt nature, dream beaches with crystal-clear waters and spectacular seabed, unique plant and animal species such as Posidonia Oceanica, bottle-nosed dolphins and sea turtles, Tavolara Island is an ideal place for boat trips, diving and snorkelling.
